OMC COMMUNITY RULES

RESPECT THE LOT.

Ontario Mazda Collective exists to bring Mazda enthusiasts together through cars, events, cruises, friendships and community.

Being part of OMC means representing the community properly — at OMC events, online, and anywhere you are visibly associated with OMC.

These rules apply to all OMC members, guests and participants attending OMC-organized activities.

01 — RESPECT THE LOCATION

Every location we use is a privilege.

  • Respect private and public property.
  • Do not leave garbage behind.
  • Do not damage landscaping, curbs, buildings or parking facilities.
  • Keep music and noise at a reasonable level.
  • Do not block entrances, exits, fire routes or active businesses.
  • Follow instructions from property owners, security, staff and OMC organizers.
  • Leave the location cleaner than you found it.

If we lose a location because of your behaviour, you are hurting the entire community.

02 — NO RECKLESS BEHAVIOUR

OMC events are not street takeovers.

The following are not permitted at OMC events or gathering locations:

  • Burnouts
  • Donuts
  • Drifting
  • Excessive revving
  • Racing
  • Dangerous launches
  • Speeding through parking lots
  • Reckless driving
  • Any behaviour that puts spectators, members or the public at risk

Save performance driving for an appropriate controlled environment.

03 — DRIVE RESPONSIBLY

During OMC cruises and convoys:

  • Follow all Ontario traffic laws.
  • Obey posted speed limits.
  • Maintain a safe following distance.
  • Do not run red lights or stop signs to stay with the group.
  • Do not block intersections.
  • Do not use the shoulder to catch up.
  • Do not weave dangerously through traffic.
  • Do not pressure another driver to exceed their comfort level.

If you become separated from the group, stay calm and follow the route safely.

Staying together is never more important than driving safely.

04 — RESPECT EVERYONE

OMC is built around the cars, but the community comes first.

Treat members, guests, organizers, photographers, businesses and members of the public with respect.

We do not tolerate:

  • Harassment
  • Bullying
  • Threats
  • Discrimination
  • Hate speech
  • Unwanted sexual behaviour
  • Intentionally creating drama or hostility
  • Targeting or humiliating other members

You do not have to be friends with everyone.

You do have to behave respectfully.

05 — KEEP OMC EVENTS FAMILY-FRIENDLY

Many OMC events are open to families, younger enthusiasts and members of the general public.

Use common sense.

Behaviour that is excessively disruptive, inappropriate or likely to damage OMC's reputation may result in you being asked to leave.

06 — LISTEN TO EVENT ORGANIZERS

OMC organizers may provide instructions regarding:

  • Parking
  • Vehicle placement
  • Cruise formation
  • Photography
  • Rollout times
  • Event boundaries
  • Safety
  • Venue requirements

Please cooperate when instructions are given.

Organizers should not have to repeatedly argue with someone over basic event rules.

07 — RESPECT OTHER VEHICLES

Do not touch, lean on, sit on or enter another person's vehicle without permission.

Do not interfere with another member's build, belongings or equipment.

Ask before touching someone else's car.

Always.

08 — PHOTOS & MEDIA

OMC events are automotive community events where photography and video are common.

Please respect photographers, videographers and other members when creating content.

Do not intentionally use OMC platforms or events to:

  • Harass someone
  • Publicly embarrass another member
  • Misrepresent another person's vehicle
  • Create unnecessary conflicts
  • Publish private member information

Private OMC event information should not be publicly shared unless OMC has approved it for public distribution.

09 — PRIVATE EVENTS STAY PRIVATE

Some OMC activities may be limited to official members or invited guests.

If an event is marked private:

  • Do not publicly post the meeting location before the event.
  • Do not distribute private registration links.
  • Do not invite additional people without permission.
  • Do not share member-only information outside the community.

Private access only works when members respect it.

10 — SALES, PROMOTION & ADVERTISING

OMC is a community first.

Do not aggressively advertise products, businesses or services to members without permission.

Use designated sales or promotional areas when available.

Scamming, intentionally misleading members or abusing the community for personal gain may result in immediate removal.

11 — REPRESENT OMC PROPERLY

Displaying an OMC decal, membership number or other OMC branding means your actions may be associated with the community.

We expect official members to represent OMC responsibly.

What you do with your own vehicle is ultimately your responsibility, but behaviour that seriously damages the community's reputation may affect your membership.

12 — MEMBERSHIP & ENFORCEMENT

OMC membership is a privilege, not an entitlement.

Depending on the circumstances, violations may result in:

  • A verbal or written warning
  • Removal from an event
  • Temporary restriction from OMC activities
  • Removal from community chats or platforms
  • Suspension of membership
  • Permanent removal from Ontario Mazda Collective

Serious conduct may result in immediate removal without a prior warning.

OMC organizers reserve the right to make reasonable decisions necessary to protect members, event locations and the community.

THE RULE ABOVE ALL OTHERS

RESPECT THE LOT

Respect the property.

Respect the cars.

Respect the people.

Respect the community.

We want OMC to be welcomed back everywhere we go.

Drive safe. Have fun. Look out for each other.
